Who's that girl?

It's about time I had a formal introduction of my team on the Blog.   Let's start with Jillian Simeone.

Formal resume details....

Jillian Simeone is the Principal Planner for the Firm's Long Island/New York Metro Area office and has been planning events for over 9 years. She started her career as an assistant event planner and later moved into professional fundraising and event planning for the not-for-profit sector, having held the position of Special Events Manager. She has planned events for a variety of high profile organization and health care institutions including; The American Ireland Fund, The Parkinson Disease Foundation, Concern Worldwide, Scranton University and South Nassau Communities Hospital.

In addition to wedding planning, Jillian has extensive experience in planning corporate and philanthropic events including; galas, golf outings, cocktail receptions, auctions and educational conferences. She has planned a variety of events and weddings in Manhattan and Long Island (including the Hamptons and east end) and throughout the Northeast.

Jillian holds a Bachelors degree from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.

Jillians' take on the event industry: "I have been so fortunate to have worked with so many wonderful brides and a part of a team that sets out to make every brides day perfect.  I love planning and executing every aspect of a wedding.  I’m a stickler for details and strongly believe that “the devil is in the details.”

Here she is prepping a bride before sending her down the aisle.

Now let's get into the fun stuff about Jillian...
She is a graduate of Adelphi University (where our paths crossed one day on the 2nd floor of Levermore Hall) in Garden City, NY.

I coordinated her wedding day 4 years ago in NJ when she married her wonderful husband and best friend, James.  Now they are both blessed by their beautiful baby boy Dominic.  (aka - our stand in ring bearer)

She has a great sense of style and humor.  If Jill and I aren't planning we are laughing.  She is the type of person you want with you through the "thick of it".

Fav' wedding song for first dance..."love song duets"
Fav' dress designer..."Vera Wang"
Fav' wedding location..."ceremony outdoors at sunset followed by a formal ballroom reception"
Fav' color combo..."neutrals...champagne, creams and whites OR black or white"
Fav part of the event day...."when the ceremony doors open for the first time and the grooms sees his wife"
Funniest moment at an event...Jill coordinated a wedding for a CEO at Disney in 2010.  One of their favorite shows was Saturday Night Live... "Funniest moment was when the best man and maid of honor did an SNL skit"
Fav' heart attack moment at an event..."when the mother of the brides dress ripped 45minutes before the ceremony was about to start"  Let's say there was a seamstress and a stiff drink in the mix for the mom, and a happy day for the bride.

After a long 3 day conference in NYC, this past August, we enjoyed roof top cocktails with our team.

"I Love love love this look!  The fascinator has been around for a while, but this is definitely one of my favorite wedding trends, fun sexy and flirty all in one!"

Stay tuned for more team introductions and trends from our planners.
